Winner 16 of the finalized 8 (premise 46 "Buy it as a SKU" in the 81-idea field, tagged breaks-contract). A lane (country to country) is the product, speeds are the variants, add-ons are add-ons. Every price and lead time below is real, pulled from the Helios dev database 2026-08-24 (see ideation/data/). Booked: Mon, Aug 24, before 2pm ET.

Published lane prices are the concept's biggest open question. The Published Tariff idea was rejected 2026-08-14 for unquantified margin risk, and the standing kill signal is a published number being read as a starting price, which re-introduces the quote. Sticker shock between the advertised price and the true cost is already a top abandonment reason. This page exists to test that risk, not to dodge it.E004 · E029 · C001

Every lane is priced country to country. Each direction is its own product, and prices differ by direction.

United States → Italy, opened Mon, Aug 24, arriving by Fri, Sep 4. The arrive-by date drives variant availability: speeds that can no longer make the date stay visible and say why. On this date Select needs 14 days' doorstep notice, but drop-off skips the mailed packet and brings it back. Click the pickup method chips.

Dropping off at a courier keeps cheaper speeds open longer.

The live path deletes unavailable speeds with no trace, so a customer never learns a cheaper option existed. Here every speed stays on the shelf with its price and the notice it needs, and drop-off revives Select, worth three days on this lane. Lead times are code-executed from Helios for a Monday booking: the two-business-day doorstep rule, and drop-off skipping the mailed packet with print-at-home labels.C148 · C009 · C116 · E018

16·3[ THE CART ]

A round trip is two lane products in one cart, each direction with its own speed and its own prices. Each bag type is its own line with a quantity.

The live path has no round-trip concept at all: a return is "leg 2" and the total is a directionless Trip Total, while customers arrive expecting round trip by default. Two lane products in one cart makes each direction legible for the first time: the reverse lane is its own product row, so the same standard bag is $504 going out and $424 coming home, and each direction picks its own speed.C010 · E106 · E014

[ NOTES ]
The concept and its lineage: winner 16 is "a plain product page with variants and an add-to-cart button, no route calculation anywhere" (winners doc 2026-08-21). It descends from premise 46 "Buy it as a SKU" in the 81-idea field, tagged breaks-contract; kin ideas 17 (the price is already known), 18 (price first then toggles), and 71 (ship a bike as a product page) all died in earlier rounds. It never received a worked candidate card, so this wireframe is its first concrete form. Axes locked with Phil 2026-08-24: lane = product, speed = variant, add-ons = add-ons, bag types as cart lines with quantities.
Every number is real: prices from the Helios dev database via Pricing.new (US to US flat rates, group 1), lead times code-executed against Calendarlogic::Calendar plus BookingPath::PickupEligibility for a Monday booking before 2pm ET (data files: ideation/data/2026-08-24-16-*). Two corrupt dev rows (a $14 ski price, one non-monotonic snowboard row) were excluded. Standard+ exists in the price grid but is permanently disabled in the calendar, so it is not shown.
The core inversion: today unavailable speeds are absent, not greyed, so the customer never learns a cheaper option existed (C148); the two-business-day doorstep rule silently forces drop-off (C009) and pre-packet dates silently switch to print-at-home labels (C116). This page makes all of it shelf-visible: sold-out variants keep their price with "needs X days' notice", and the pickup-method chips show drop-off reviving Express+, Priority+, and Standard, worth up to 2 days, because drop-off skips the mailed packet. Availability is three states per speed (doorstep, drop-off only, unavailable), never a boolean. Phrasing note: Phil's draft label was "needs X days before pickup"; the computed floor is booking-to-arrival, so the label reads "needs X days' notice".
A deliberate rule exception: the standing wireframe rule says no prices until both endpoints are known. This concept prices at the lane (country to country) grain, which is exactly how the rate cards work (C001, SLT-confirmed keep), so the price is honest before any address exists; the cart says so. The exception is the concept, agreed with Phil 2026-08-24.
The lead times are jagged by design of the current system: duplicate-date suppression means a "+" speed can beat its plain sibling on some weekdays (on a Wednesday booking Express+ arrives two days before Express), peak-season bands add 2 to 3 days and remove every "+" speed, and booking after 5pm ET costs a day on doorstep. All numbers shown are for Mon, Aug 24, off-peak. A live PDP would reuse the existing compute_pickup_dates + reconcile_with_service_availability chain rather than a static table.
The lane globe: the product photo slot renders the route on a live globe (cobe v2 from unpkg, the one CDN exception to the vanilla-kit rule; Phil approved 2026-08-24). White sphere, navy land dots, gold endpoints and arc. Offline it falls back to the hatched placeholder. Two hard-won gotchas live in the knowledge folder: v2 draws only from a globe.update() rAF loop, and dot color is a darkened copy of baseColor, so a saturated dot color always tints the sphere.
Risks this stimulus should test: (1) margin and anchoring, since the Published Tariff idea stays rejected and the kill signal is a published price read as a starting price (E004 sticker shock, E029 quote instability); (2) register, since cart language and cross-sells can cheapen a $600 white-glove service (influences assessment 2026-07-28); (3) whether "needs X days' notice" reads as honest scarcity or as pressure, the same tone question as 55. Cruise lanes are deliberately absent from this v01; whether a ship is a catalog product is an open question for a later version (C277, E098).
